[8/12 - 2004] - New merchandise
The Metal Merchant has just released some fresh Lake of Tears clothing on their site! Besides the regular black T-shirts, the print is also available on b/w longsleeves (baseball style) and black hooded sweatshirts. The front carries the LoT logo and the back has this print. The Metal Merchant delivers worldwide.

[10/11 - 2004] - Interviews
There's a bunch of new interviews to read at:

For the first time since the ACC period there'll be some new LoT merchandise... Hopefully before this year ends!

[30/9 - 2004] - Site update
Finally the new site is online... with an new design and quite a lot of new content: live-pictures, member profiles, newsletter, compilations and more. More stuff will be added gradually and hopefully we'll have some autumn/winter live dates to present soon too...

Not much more to add: hope you'll like it - take your time to browse around and send us your comments and bugreports (using the forum or the new fancy contact form...), and remember to sign up for the newsletter. Huge thanks to Torsten & Po for helping out with the code!

[30/8 - 2004] - European release
Today sees the European release of the new Lake of Tears album "Black Brick Road"! Check your local record store or try some of the online shops to get your hands on a copy. Read the latest reviews from Metal Inside and Walls of Fire here (in german).

"Playing at the Summer Breeze was fantastic. The whole area was crowded, maybe 8.000-10.000 thousand people... screaming and surfing... the place was boiling. [18/6 - 2004] - Release date & SRF report
The release date for Black Brick Road has been set to August 30!

The gig at the Sweden Rock Festival last week was a sucess! It was the first gig in seven(!) years and the band was overwhelmed by the great audience (~3000 people). Daniel: "We would like to thank everyone who attended the gig... we had a fantastic time and it was all thanks to you!".
After being called in a second time to play "Headstones" as the encore, the band met up with the fans in front of the stage for a short signing/photo session. Worth mentioning is that it was the first time Magnus Sahlgren played with the band live.

[13/4 - 2004] - Short update
The recording of "Black Brick Road" is now finished except for some keyboard parts. The mixing will begin this weekend and continue until the 28th(April), then the mastering on the 29th.

Great news for all turkish fans: LoT will play at the Rock the Nations Open Air festival in Istanbul 2 July! Other acts on the bill are, among others; Katatonia, Sentenced, Marduk, Hatebreed. UDO, Destruction, Malevolent Creation, Blaze, Pain of Salvation and Paul Di'Anno. Check www.rockthenations.net for more info.


[1/4 - 2004] - "Some guys have all the luck..."
The three winners of the Metal by Metal competition are... (snare drum): Mikael Jonsson (Sweden), Aleksey Donov (Russian Federation) and Mads Jakobsen (Denmark)! Congratulations, you will receive your discs in a week or two.
Seems like most of you knew that Magnus Sahlgren has played with Dismember and Tiamat (and also the less known group Celeborn),or at least found out after some research - we got more than 100 correct answers this time!

[19/3 - 2004] - Win the Metal by Metal DVD!

[9/3 - 2004] - Short report from the studio
The guys are in the middle of the recording and has so far recorded all the drums, bass and most of the rythm guitars. The basic vocals on five tracks is also finished, as well as the keyboards on some of the tracks. Host of the recording this time is Studio Mega, Sweden (the Crown, Sator, The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Beseech etc). The mastering is set to April 30!


[11/2 - 2004] - A little bit of everything...
Some news about the upcoming album, "Black Brick Road":
The album cover will be done by the brilliant artist Kristian Wåhlin, who has painted all of the previous Lake of Tears covers except "Forever Autumn".
Finished songtitles so far; "The greymen", "Black brick road", "Making evenings", "Crazyman" and "A trip with the moon".
The band is entering the studio this friday to record their sixth album to date, and their first under the Noise label. Read Daniel's latest post in the forum.

There will be an attempt to break the record of "most people on the forum at the same time" this Sunday! Check this thread. Be sure to pile up some coffee...

A new LoT site has recently seen the light of day at www.lakeoftears.nl. At the moment it's in dutch only, but according to the webmaster there are plans on making an english version soon. Good work anyway! If anyone else has made a site about LoT, let me know!
